Media and freedom
I learned that I can't escape the media. For example, when I go on a trip to Florida, I see media everywhere I look. On bilboards, on my labtop, even on peoples cloths. I also learned that not everybody is traped by the media. For example people who do not go on the internet or watch t.v mightnot see media as often. But these people might see media even if they don't know it.
not free. free. Allot of people see media and buy things because they saw it on TVor the internet because some people do not like to go shopping so they try to find things on the internet or on thetelevisionthen go to the store that has them and buy them without looking for them.
How can I increase my freedom from the media? Well, if I stopped watching TV in the morning and going on the computer in the morning I might seeless media in my life. Well, in my opinion I am not free. For example, I go on the internet and watch TV and I see media every single day. I know that I can't escape the influence of media because most of the things I buy are because I see it on the internet or in school. For instance, my shoes. I saw them online and I loved them. I went to a store and saw them. They were pretty expensive but I still bought them because the internet said they were the best shoes you can buy.Another example was when I was watching a TV show. They showed this beautiful car and they made a little preview of it. At the end of the show they said

ALSO, OLD NAVY WAS MENTIONED SEVRAL TIMES. CUTTING BACK ON TV TIME CAN MAKE US LESS SUCEPTABLE TO THE MEDIA. ALSO, THERE ARE SOME ADDS THAT AREN'T TARGETED AT ME SO I JUST DONT LISTEN TO THEM. What have you learned about yourself and the media?
A.
I think have learned that the media infleunces our impacts many peoples lives tremendously. One way it impacts us is by television. Many americans watch a lot people tend to sit in front of television, so the T.V. for hours at a time. As an effect, many companies will pay a lot of money to get have their product advertised or products shown or advertised on the screen. An example is on American Idol, the judgesdrink judges drink out of coca cola cups. This is a way of discretely advertising the companies product. Another way that we are influenced is by clothing. Usually, at the age of twelve, girls and boys feel that they must be in the latest fashion to be liked by their friends. I know that I'm effected by the media when it comes to clothes, and I definately want to keep up witht

What have I learned about my self and media?
your hand. hand. They usually use plastic or gloss spray paint to improve the look of their item.
2. Am I free of media influence?
personally i thinkPersonallyIthink I am because influentialmedia is plane nonsense. Only a really idiot would get drawn into it. Like say they see a music video on MTV and their favorite rapper is smoking cigars so they go out and do it. thats stupid. I might stupid.I think people can do pretty crazy stuff relating to the media but doing something totally pointless and bad for you just because one of your idols is doing it is not cool. But yes, there are plenty of ways that media can get to your head. I've heard news stories on howreally young kids play gun games too much andget there hands on a gun and end up killing someone. Q: What have you learned about yourself and media?
how adds ads are made to effect different people. Related to this I learned that there are so many types of techniques they use to try to convince you to buy there product. Secondly, you can really only remember adds ads that relate to you. I figured this out when we started to fill out charts to realize how much media we see in one day. At the end of the day I could only remember things like Aeropostale logos, even though I probably sawlogos for adult clothing. Third of all, you may think your you’re not influenced by media, but you are. You find out about almosteverthing almosteverything from the media and then if you hear about it and like it, you will probably buy it. You can deny this and say your you’re not influenced, but you are. You will someday realize this. Idon't think people realize how much it's in our lives, even in Vermont.

WhatTEJAS' PAGE (THAT IS BETTER THAN GERRITS)
What do you know about media? I know that it is everywhere. It influences every thing you do. The clothes you wear the food you eat and everything inbetween. in between. A good first example is that when you watch television you lots of adds. Those adds influence you subconsously subconsciously when you go to the store and you see a label on a pair of pants that you've seen before you know the media has got to you. That label will all ways stick with you. And even if there is a better pair of jeans out there the adds of those companie's company’s will be the ones you buy more often.
Do you consider your you’re self free from the media? I don't think anybody can be completely free. My first example is that media is everywhere. Even if you don't have a television or a radio or even if you dont read don’t read, people still<d

I learned that I can't escape the media. For example, when I go on a trip to Florida, I see media everywhere I look. On billboards, on my lab top, even on peoples cloths. I also learned that not everybody is trapped by the media. For instance, people who do not go on the internet or watch TV mightnot see media as often. But these people might see media even if they don't know it.
Am I free from the media? Well, in my opinion I am not free. For example, I go on the internet and watch TV and I see media every single day. I know that I can't escape the influence of media because most of the things I buy are because I see it on the internet or in school. For instance, my shoes. I saw them online and I loved them. I went to a store and saw them. They were pretty expensive but I still bought them because the internet said they were the best shoes you can buy.Another example was when I was watching a TV show. They showed this beautiful car and they made a little preview of it. At the end of the show they said

What have I learned about myself and Media?
I have learned that media is all around us. It can affect the choices we make and the lifestyle
we live. Media is on the radios we listen to, the TV we watch and the internet we surf. I think
most of us have seen or heard a ad on one of my three examples.
Am I free of media influence?
sometimes effect affect us. For example, adds can effect affect us by the lifestyle we live.
Like beer commercials, they try and make you think if you drink a certain type of beer, it will
make you cooler. For another example, in the ski world, companies use "beautiful people" to
their skis. For skis. For a final example, example, ads on the internet like that never
ending "FREE IPOD" ad can appeal to many kids because iPods are a popular product in
the kids world. Shannon's Rockin Web Page!! Here I will tell you what I think and what i have learned about Media Lit.
There are some things that i have noticed and learned about media lit in class. One thing is that i noticed alot of t-shirts and sweatshirts have media and ads on them. I have not noticed this before but now that i think about it I notice it alot more.Another more. Another one is alot of ads arn't aimed towards us but more towards our parents and older siblings. Some of these things contain ciggarets, alcohal, top notch Jeans and expensive clothing and so on.Another thing I noticed is that alot of websites and e-mail accounts have ads on them. Like when somebody fowards you something. I hate that it always carries an attachment with an ad in it that seems to always cause a virus. My last thing i noticed is product placement. I have seen some movies about 10 times and every time i notcie more product placement of expensive clothing and chain restaraunts. These four things i h
