1. What have I learned about my self and media?

that if i watch enough tv or go on the internet, there is no way i will be free from advertisment. Ive learned that media has alot of little ways and techniques to draw you into buying an item. From what ive learned ill try and not have that affect me as much. I learned that something on the screen or internet might not look the exact same when you have it in your hand. They usually use plastic or gloss spray paint to improve the look of their item.

 

 

 

2. Am I free of media influence?

Personally I think I am because influential media is plane nonsense. Only a really idiot would get drawn into it. Like say they see a music video on MTV and their favorite rapper is smoking cigars so they go out and do it. thats stupid. I think people can do pretty crazy stuff relating to the media but doing something totally pointless and bad for you just because one of your idols is doing it is not cool. But yes, there are plenty of ways that media can get to your head. I've heard news stories on how really young kids play gun games too much and get there hands on a gun and end up killing someone. Im definetly not free of it but it doesnt affect me at all.

 

 

 

 

3. How can I increse my freedom from media control?

well if I cut down my time on the internet or TV then that would work alot. I probly wont do it but that is a possible way. The reason why this would work is because if someone is watching TV more then their going outside then this would free them from media alot. Also if I play more sports I wont really have time to play video games or watch TV. That would be a good way for TV freaks who cant keep their eyes off the TV and really need to do something else other than it. I watch TV too much but i get outside just as much. Its definetly not the only thing I do.
